Duties and Responsibilities

The Ministry of Communications and Technology is responsible for the planning, administration, regulation, and development of Zvlokiquix’s national communications and technological infrastructure. Its responsibilities encompass telecommunications, internet and digital networks, broadcasting systems, satellite communications, radio frequency management, information technology, and the establishment and maintenance of national technological standards. The Ministry shall oversee the development, modernization, reliability, and security of civilian communications networks, digital services, and governmental information systems.

The Ministry shall prioritize national technological independence, communications security, digital accessibility, and infrastructure resilience through the expansion of telecommunications networks, advancement of computing and information technologies, modernization of governmental digital systems, and promotion of secure technological development. Particular emphasis shall be placed on maintaining reliable communications across the nation’s island and continental territories, reducing dependence on foreign technological infrastructure, protecting essential information systems against cyber threats, and ensuring continuity of communications during national emergencies. The Ministry shall coordinate with relevant national security authorities on cybersecurity matters while supporting technological innovation, interoperability, and the responsible adoption of emerging technologies.

In accordance with the Foundational Law of Zvlokiquix, the Ministry shall exercise its lawful administrative and legislative authority while coordinating with other Ministries and Administrative Regions to promote communications accessibility, technological advancement, information security, protection of personal privacy, lawful freedom of communication, national technological sovereignty, and the long-term stability and prosperity of Zvlokiquix.
