Duties and Responsibilities
The Ministry of Education and Science is responsible for the planning, administration, regulation, and development of Zvlokiquix’s national education system and scientific research sector. Its responsibilities encompass primary, secondary, vocational, and higher education; the establishment and maintenance of national educational standards; the oversight and development of schools, universities, and research institutions; and the coordination, advancement, and oversight of scientific research, technological innovation, and academic scholarship. Scientific oversight responsibilities shall include the establishment of national research standards, administration of scientific funding and research programs, accreditation and evaluation of research institutions, preservation of scientific integrity, and development of appropriate ethical, safety, and methodological standards for scientific experimentation and investigation.
The Ministry shall prioritize educational accessibility, academic excellence, scientific advancement, and the development of a knowledgeable, skilled, and innovative population. Particular emphasis shall be placed on strengthening education in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, humanities, and civic studies; expanding vocational and professional training opportunities; supporting fundamental and applied scientific research; and fostering discoveries that contribute to national development, technological independence, and long-term competitiveness. The Ministry shall promote responsible scientific experimentation, encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, and support the development of research infrastructure and scientific institutions throughout the nation’s island and continental territories. Scientific oversight shall emphasize research integrity, evidence-based methodology, responsible innovation, and the protection of academic and scientific inquiry.
In accordance with the Foundational Law of Zvlokiquix, the Ministry shall exercise its lawful administrative and legislative authority while coordinating with other Ministries, Administrative Regions, educational institutions, and scientific organizations to promote intellectual development, technological progress, workforce readiness, and the preservation and advancement of national knowledge. The Ministry shall maintain overarching responsibility for national scientific research standards and coordination without superseding the specialized research, regulatory, operational, or security authorities of other Ministries within their respective jurisdictions. Through these responsibilities, the Ministry shall contribute to the long-term scientific advancement, technological independence, stability, and prosperity of Zvlokiquix.
