ZAKRYTOS, EARLY MORNING — Shortly after dawn, several supermarket distribution centers and cold-storage facilities across Akragideion begin reporting nearly identical refrigeration failures. Internal temperatures rise rapidly despite repeated attempts by staff to reset the systems, while other units cycle erratically or shut down entirely. Within hours, meat, dairy products, frozen supplies and temperature-sensitive medicines are beginning to spoil, and at least several facilities report electrical fires caused by overheating equipment. The affected businesses are not all connected to the same company or distribution network, making a simple localized equipment failure increasingly difficult to explain.
The national power authority reports that, minutes before the first failures, several monitoring stations recorded a brief but severe instability across parts of the electrical grid. Engineers disagree on the cause. Some describe it as a voltage surge, while others note that the pattern does not resemble an ordinary grid fault. Complicating matters further, technicians examining the refrigeration systems at two separate facilities discover that temperature settings appear to have changed before the equipment began failing. One system contains unfamiliar remote commands, while another has several minutes of missing records.
The evidence, however, remains inconsistent. One warehouse displaying suspicious control activity was never affected by the reported grid fluctuation, while another facility experienced the power disturbance without suffering any refrigeration failure at all. At a third site, engineers report that several sensors briefly produced impossible readings immediately before the system shut itself down. Whether this reflects cyber interference, unstable power conditions, damaged infrastructure or some unrelated technical event remains unknown.
By late morning, several major distribution centers are temporarily offline and food losses are increasing. No group has claimed responsibility, and officials cannot yet determine whether Zakrytos is facing something unusual, a major infrastructure failure, or something more sinister. What is clear is that the failures occurred across multiple locations within a narrow period of time.
The consolidated report is now placed before the Government of @Akragideion. What do you do?
