This issue has been addressed. There have been no recent incidents reported.

We have received a number of reports from members being randomly logged out of their accounts, followed in some cases by an error stating that their login details are incorrect. At the moment, this appears to be related to the recent move to our custom domain, www.ucsn.fyi, rather than an issue with individual accounts or passwords.

The most likely cause is that some users have been accessing UCSN through different versions of the site address, including ucsn.fyi, www.ucsn.fyi, and older freeflarum.com links. Because login sessions are stored through browser cookies, moving between different hostnames can cause the forum to treat the session as invalid and log the user out unexpectedly.

We have now adjusted the domain configuration so that ucsn.fyi should automatically redirect to www.ucsn.fyi, which will help keep everyone on the same canonical address and should reduce these session conflicts. We are continuing to monitor the issue to make sure this resolves the problem completely.

If you are still being randomly logged out, please clear your browser cookies/site data for UCSN and then log back in directly through:

https://www.ucsn.fyi

If possible, please avoid using old unitedcommonwealth.freeflarum.com links or bookmarks for the time being and replace them with the new UCSN address.

If you continue to experience the problem after doing this, please report it to staff and include which browser/device you are using and whether the issue happens immediately after login or only after some time browsing the forum.
