RESIGNATION LETTER
To: The Honorable Senate President of the United Commonwealth Senate
Subject: Resignation from the Office of Senator and Acting Speaker
Honorable Senate President,
I respectfully submit this letter to formally announce my resignation from my current positions as Senator of the United Commonwealth representing the People’s Republic of New Valdoria and as Acting Speaker of the United Commonwealth Senate.
This decision is made to allow me to fully dedicate my time and attention toward my campaign for the position of Senate Speaker of the United Commonwealth. As a candidate for this important leadership position, I believe it is necessary to step aside from my current offices to ensure fairness, transparency, and to avoid any potential conflict between my duties as an officeholder and my responsibilities as a candidate.
I am deeply grateful for the trust and confidence given to me by the Senate and the Member States during my service. It has been an honor to contribute to the legislative process, preside over Senate proceedings, and assist in strengthening the institutions of the United Commonwealth.
This resignation shall not represent a withdrawal from public service. Instead, it represents my commitment to continuing to serve the Commonwealth through the democratic process and seeking the opportunity to lead the Senate with dedication, responsibility, and integrity.
I respectfully request that this resignation be formally recognized and that the appropriate constitutional procedures be followed regarding the vacancy of the Senate seat and the Acting Speaker position.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve the United Commonwealth.
Respectfully submitted,
Senator Jovan Montalban
People’s Republic of New Valdoria
Former Senator and Acting Speaker of the United Commonwealth Senate
