BIOLOGICAL PROPERTY. THE STATUS OF NON CONCEPTUAL LIFE
The Office of the Executive has issued a formal identification regarding the status of captive marine life. In Promethea, we recognize that rights are conditions of existence required by man’s nature for his proper survival as a rational being. Sub conceptual organisms, such as orcas, possess no rational faculty and therefore possess no rights. They are not victims to be liberated, but material assets to be mastered and traded.
We flatly reject demands for state mandated humane standards or captivity bans. Such measures are manifestations of preventive law, which seeks to substitute a bureaucrat’s gun for the rational judgment of a producer. Zoos are a private industrial concern, its animals are property, earned through the application of effort and knowledge.
The state, acting as an impersonal robot of law, will not initiate physical force against property owners to satisfy the emotional whims of animal lovers. If a citizen objects to the conditions of a private aquarium, their only moral recourse is the withdrawal of their financial sanction. In this sanctuary, achievement is the conquest of nature, not its preservation at the expense of man’s right to produce.
This is The Objective Standard. Reality is our only absolute.
