Ivroyian National Energy Initiative (INEI)

The Ministry of Energy and National Infrastructure is proud to announce that the Ivroyian National Energy Initiative (INEI) has reached one of the most consequential milestones in the history of the Free States of Ivroyia. Following the successful commissioning of Gamma and Delta, the nation has entered a new era in which chronic electricity shortages, rolling blackouts, and widespread brownouts are no longer defining features of Ivroyian life.
For generations, Ivroyia’s limited geography and extraordinary population density placed severe constraints on domestic energy production. The decision in 2127 to transform Mu into the center of a new national energy system was made with a simple objective: Ivroyia should possess the ability to reliably power itself. Fifteen years later, that objective is becoming reality.

Gamma and Delta Enter Service
Following the completion of construction, comprehensive systems testing, fuel loading, grid synchronization, and regulatory review, the Gamma and Delta reactors have entered commercial operation.
Each reactor provides approximately 2,000 MW of generating capacity. Together with Alpha and Beta, the INEI complex on Mu now possesses 6,000 MW of installed nuclear generating capacity, supplemented by the twenty turbines of the Mu Wind Generation Network.
The commissioning of Gamma and Delta represents the point at which Ivroyia’s electrical system has moved beyond the shortages that necessitated years of emergency load management. Routine rolling blackouts have ended, and the near-permanent brownouts once imposed upon nonessential systems have been lifted.
For the first time since the beginning of Ivroyia’s modern energy crisis, the national grid can reliably meet ordinary demand without systematically denying electricity to one part of the country so that another may remain powered.
This is an achievement belonging not merely to the INEI, but to the people of Ivroyia who lived, worked, built businesses, and developed one of the world’s foremost technology economies despite years of severe electrical constraints.

A Celebration of Ivroyian Energy Independence
The Government recognizes the commissioning of Gamma and Delta as the beginning of Ivroyian energy independence.
Ivroyia’s energy requirements have not disappeared, nor has the INEI reached completion. However, the Free States has crossed the threshold from managing persistent scarcity toward managing an increasingly secure domestic supply.
The transformation is particularly significant for Mainland Ivroyia, where the entirety of the Ivroyian population resides. Hospitals, residences, public transportation, telecommunications systems, commercial buildings, universities, data centers, and other essential infrastructure can now operate without the expectation that electricity will routinely need to be rationed.
The Ministry extends its gratitude to the engineers, construction workers, nuclear technicians, grid operators, emergency personnel, researchers, inspectors, and countless supporting workers whose efforts have brought the project to this point.
The lights staying on should eventually become unremarkable.
For Ivroyians who remember when they did not, 2142 will not be an unremarkable year.

The Next Step: Epsilon and Zeta
Energy independence is not the conclusion of the INEI.
It is the foundation for what comes next.
With Gamma and Delta entering operation, construction activity on Mu will increasingly shift toward Epsilon and Zeta, the next pair of 2,000 MW reactors. Preparatory works authorized earlier in 2142 are advancing, including site preparation, supporting utility construction, expansion of cooling-water infrastructure, and integration of the new reactor sites with Mu’s electrical network.
Upon their eventual commissioning, Epsilon and Zeta will increase total installed nuclear capacity from 6,000 MW to 10,000 MW.
This additional capacity is intended not simply to satisfy today’s electricity consumption, but to provide room for Ivroyia to grow.
The availability of dependable electricity will permit further expansion of the country’s telecommunications infrastructure, cloud computing and data-center industry, desalination capacity, transportation electrification, advanced manufacturing, research facilities, and other electricity-intensive industries that were previously constrained by the national energy deficit.

Strengthening the Mu–Mainland Connection
The next phase of the INEI will also place increased emphasis on moving the electricity generated on Mu safely and reliably to Mainland Ivroyia.
Work will continue on reinforcement of the submarine transmission corridors between the two islands, expansion of substations and switching infrastructure, and modernization of the Mainland Ivroyian distribution network. These improvements are necessary to accommodate the substantial increases in generation expected as additional reactors enter service.
Grid resilience will remain a priority. The Government’s objective is not merely to possess sufficient generating capacity, but to ensure that the loss or maintenance of an individual transmission route, generating unit, or major piece of equipment does not recreate the widespread disruptions of the past.

Preparing for Eta and Theta
While construction proceeds on Epsilon and Zeta, engineering and preliminary planning will continue for the Eta and Theta reactors, the following 4,000 MW phase of the INEI.
Their eventual completion will increase the nuclear complex to 14,000 MW, providing Ivroyia with considerably greater reserve capacity and allowing the national economy to expand without immediately approaching the limits of electricity production.
The final planned pair, Psi and Omega, will subsequently raise the complex to its full 18,000 MW design capacity.
The overall initiative remains scheduled for completion in 2152.

From Scarcity to Opportunity
The purpose of the INEI has always extended beyond ending blackouts.
Reliable electricity provides Ivroyia with something that years of energy shortages could not: room to choose what comes next.
Businesses may expand without planning around load restrictions. New data centers and communications infrastructure can be developed with confidence in their power supply. Desalination and other essential systems can operate at greater capacity. Emerging industries that would once have been impractical because of their electricity requirements can now be considered viable components of the Ivroyian economy.
As additional reactors enter operation, the Government will also begin examining opportunities to use future generating surpluses for strategic reserves, new industrial development, and, where technically and economically practical, the eventual export of Ivroyian electricity.

Fifteen Years of Progress
When the Ivroyian National Energy Initiative began in 2127, the Free States was managing its limited electricity supply through rolling blackouts and near-continuous restrictions on nonessential consumption.
The first wind turbines on Mu were erected to provide electricity simply to help build what would follow.
Alpha and Beta brought the first major relief.
Gamma and Delta have brought an end to routine scarcity.
Epsilon and Zeta will begin building the reserve upon which Ivroyia’s next generation of economic growth can depend.
And Eta, Theta, Psi, and Omega will complete the system envisioned fifteen years ago.
The Ministry of Energy and National Infrastructure therefore invites all Ivroyians to recognize the commissioning of Gamma and Delta not simply as the completion of two reactors, but as a national achievement decades in the making.
