From the government of the Corporatocracy of Dechikely, we wish to extend the most humble and open invitations to @The Free States of Ivroyia and @Novara for the formal creation of an alliance in and around the gulf region of the middle east. To be known as the Middle Eastern Gulf Alliance (I know there is technically a sea between us but MEGA was too good to pass up), this alliance shall fortify defenses, boost economic output, and see growth for the people of each participating nation.

Our interests in the region are shared and the economic similarities between nations stand to benefit from the inclusion of each other. A unified region with a cornerstone of private industry allowing to flourish would greatly increase the global economy and security of future ventures and projects. Together, our nations could create a central hub for all things industry. We are in the unique geography to bridge Europe and Africa with Asia and Oceania.

The proposal for inclusion would be shared access to national trade hubs, exchange of technologies, strengthened military might, and likeminded ideologies. The safety of each of our nations is imperative to the survival of trade throughout our shared region and beyond. Combined contributions could be the difference between standing strong together or falling divided. We must stand as one to deter socialist ideologies that threaten our economies and freedoms.

Forming an alliance would play off of each other’s strengths and weaknesses. We each know what we have to offer and can improve upon. However, this does not have to be done alone.

I foresee great things to come for each of our nations individually. Yet, the potential would be much greater together. I implore you to consider the offer and expect any questions about my contributions and any concerns you may have.

Respectfully, I feel this is a knee-jerk reaction to regional disputes your nation is a part of and trying to drag others into it is alarming. While I agree that an alliance can strengthen our nations, I can’t help but notice your nation had also expressed intentions of expanding. Ivroyia does not agree with any border expansions.

That said, I would be willing to negotiate working together given that Dechikely does not seek to expand its border. Yet, uses that time, energy, and resources to resist the expansion of other nations. Our combined resources should be used to better the country that is contained within our borders. Investments into making each country green and energy independent with sources such as nuclear and wind technologies should be the priority. Also, Dechikely is in a prime location to extract oil and rare earth minerals that Ivroyians could use in order to better suit the technological needs of Dechikely.

Ivroyia wishes to serve its partner nations and global nations as a technological and financial hub, but understands that growing into that takes time and resources Ivroyia does not have access to. If you, Dechikely, are willing to invest in domestic energies and produce a surplus to the point of helping Ivroyia, then we would be willing to help out your country in areas that are lacking.

This is all conditional to the point that aggression is ceased and borders are to remain where they are.

You drive a hard bargain. I do see your point. I wish to open talks about MEGA. However, aligning ourselves does not guarantee we stop the expansion of other nation’s borders. Especially those that are in direct opposition to what I, and presumably you, believe in. Combining resources to ensure that a nation does not expand to reaches we cannot afford to lose will greatly impact our nation’s futures.

I think we need to consider that an exclusive economic buffer between our ideals and socialism is best for us. Lest, we have socialism knocking on our front doors.

We can start with your plan. I agree we both need to increase domestic resources. Use each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Yet, look towards the idea of using surrounding, unoccupied land for continued growth. I concede that is in the distant future, but not something we can rule out.

Ivroyia has made it clear that its project for the near future is nuclear power. Is there something specific in mind you would want to see from Dechikely to consider partnership with the condition of possible future expansion?

For now, expansions by anyone seem to be off of the table. I urge Dechikely to look inward and build its strength. We both need allies that are going to be goal-orientated in the same direction. It helps neither of us to align and go in different directions.

I firmly stand against border expansion in any capacity. Having an economic influence and partnership with other countries should be plenty for any nation. Imperialism was a defining feature of previously collapsed “empires”. We need to create sustainability for all nations. If we cannot, then we can, at least, do it for ourselves. It may be hypocritical for Ivroyia to aspire to be the freest nation, but discourage expansion for other nations. This is because I want the future of other nations to be available.

I am staunchly opposed to a socialistic economy. However, that is a nation’s right within its border. We do not have to police them. Furthermore, I respect your right to not work with Ivroyia if your future goals of a singular nation’s expansion are more important than that of the growth of a region containing many nations. Having a free market yourself, I would hope Dechikely knows that diversification is a key component to a corporation’s success. This only amplifies on a national and regional level.

As far as a partnership between our countries, Ivroyia is seeking investments into its nuclear power plant construction. It will be an expensive and time consuming project. However, it is clear to Ivroyia that the investment is well worth it. In the future, we hope to use that energy to drive our cities towards being centers for data storage, cybersecurity, and further digitization of our economy to increase efficiencies. I would hope you would agree that this could be a great benefit to your nation being a close neighbor of ours.

The Firm has agreed to leave the borders of Dechikely where they are and give up on increasing the size of our country. We do share like-minded values in economic freedoms.

If what you say is true, then Dechikely will be willing to invest in Ivroyia to secure future rights to data storage, cybersecurity, and a digitized economy. In the meantime, Dechikely shall draw up an internal plan for growth and planned investments into Ivroyian energy and digital services.

Treaty of the Middle Eastern Gulf Alliance (MEGA)

Between the Corporatocracy of Dechikely and the Free States of Ivroyia

Preamble

The Corporatocracy of Dechikely and the Free States of Ivroyia (hereinafter referred to as “the Parties”),

Recognizing the importance of free markets, private enterprise, innovation, and economic freedom as foundations for prosperity;
Desiring to strengthen friendship, stability, and mutually beneficial economic relations;
Acknowledging that increased trade, investment, and cooperation contribute to higher standards of living and sustainable growth;
Committed to fostering a transparent, predictable, and competitive business environment;

Have agreed as follows:

Article I – Objectives

The objectives of MEGA are to:

Promote economic growth and prosperity in both Parties.
Expand bilateral trade and investment.
Encourage entrepreneurship and innovation.
Facilitate the movement of goods, services, capital, and knowledge.
Create employment opportunities and improve living standards.
Strengthen economic cooperation while respecting the sovereignty of each Party.

Article II – Free Trade

The Parties shall progressively eliminate tariffs, quotas, and other unnecessary barriers to trade amongst themselves.
Goods produced within either Party shall receive fair and non-discriminatory treatment in the markets of the other Party.
Customs procedures shall be simplified to reduce costs and delays.

Article III – Investment Promotion

Investors from either Party shall receive equal treatment under the laws of the host Party.
The Parties shall protect investments against unlawful expropriation.
Both Parties shall encourage cross-border investment through transparent regulations and legal certainty.
Joint investment projects in strategic sectors shall be encouraged.

Article IV – Infrastructure and Connectivity

The Parties shall cooperate in developing transportation, logistics, telecommunications, and energy infrastructure.
Joint infrastructure projects may be financed through public-private partnerships.
The Parties shall seek to improve regional connectivity to facilitate commerce and economic integration.

Article V – Innovation and Technology

The Parties shall support cooperation in science, technology, and innovation.
Universities, research institutions, and private-sector firms shall be encouraged to establish partnerships.
Intellectual property rights shall be protected in accordance with international standards.

Article VI – Financial Cooperation

The Parties shall encourage cooperation between financial institutions and capital markets.
Regulatory authorities shall exchange information to promote financial stability and transparency.
Efforts shall be made to facilitate cross-border investment and payment systems.

Article VII – Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises

The Parties recognize the vital role of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in economic growth.
Programs shall be established to promote entrepreneurship, access to financing, and business development.
SMEs shall be encouraged to participate in bilateral trade and investment opportunities.

Article VIII – Labor and Human Capital Development

The Parties shall cooperate in workforce training, education, and professional development.
Exchange programs shall be established to enhance skills and knowledge sharing.
Labor mobility initiatives may be developed in accordance with domestic laws.

Article IX – Sustainable Economic Development

Economic growth shall be pursued in a manner that promotes environmental stewardship and responsible resource management.
The Parties shall cooperate on sustainable technologies and efficient resource use.
Policies that support long-term economic resilience shall be encouraged.

Article X – Economic Cooperation Council (ECC)

An Economic Cooperation Council (ECC) shall be established to oversee implementation of this Treaty.
The Council shall meet at least annually and may establish working groups as necessary.
The Council shall review progress and recommend measures to enhance cooperation.

Article XI – Settlement of Disputes

Any dispute arising from the interpretation or implementation of this Treaty shall first be resolved through consultation and negotiation.
If consultations fail, the Parties may submit the dispute to arbitration by mutual agreement.
Decisions reached through arbitration shall be respected by both Parties.

Article XII – Duration and Amendment

This Treaty shall enter into force upon ratification by both Parties.
Amendments may be adopted by mutual written consent.
Either Party may withdraw from the Treaty by providing twelve months’ written notice.

Final Provisions

The Parties reaffirm their commitment to economic freedom, market-based growth, peaceful cooperation, and the advancement of prosperity for their peoples.

The Free States of Ivroyia welcomes the conclusion of the Treaty of the Middle Eastern Gulf Alliance between the Corporatocracy of Dechikely and the Free States of Ivroyia.
